Is a single-use seal the same as a plastic seal?
No. Single-use describes an operating principle; plastic seal is one product family. Cable, bolt and meter seals can also be single-use.
Can a single-use seal be reclosed?
A properly functioning security design leaves permanent evidence when opened. Actual resistance varies by model and quality, so critical applications should be sample- and field-tested.
Is an unnumbered seal useful?
It can provide tamper evidence, but traceability is lower because it cannot be uniquely linked to a shipment or asset.
Should a cut seal be retained?
It depends on risk and organizational procedure. Critical operations may retain a photo, serial record or the physical sample for a defined period.
Does a single-use seal provide security by itself?
