Why tanker sealing requires a point-by-point approach
A tanker may have top filling hatches, bottom discharge valves, manifolds, sampling points or equipment boxes. These points do not share the same hole diameter, movement range or opening method. It is safer to create a list of critical points rather than using one generic 'tanker seal' size everywhere.
It is also important to record which point each seal number belongs to. On a five-compartment tanker, listing only five serial numbers is less clear than linking each number to a point such as 'compartment 1 top hatch' or 'compartment 1 bottom valve'.
