Why is physical fit the first step?
In meter sealing, a difference of only a few millimetres can change the application. If the passage hole is too small, the chosen wire may not fit; if the wire is too thin, excessive movement may result. The body of a butterfly or twist mechanism can also interfere with tight terminal boxes.
For this reason, a technical specification should include measurable criteria such as minimum/maximum wire diameter, usable length, body dimensions and required marking area rather than simply stating 'meter seal'.
